If y'all can match the color of the grout y'all can pigment information technology. However you may want to remove and replace the offended area. As later on the paint volition wearable away showing the colour. They make a tool called a grout saw. It looks like a toothbrush of sorts with a saw blazon blade where the bristles would exist located. Information technology but works past rubbing back and forth as it scrapes the grout out. You might even only need to get down just a chip to remove the color if information technology has not seeped to far into the material Once done you tin can purchase new grout to fill in. They also make grout pens that volition recolor grout, however it is not sure if information technology volition embrace over paint.
Thankyou, the grout saw seems a little scarry! I call back I might try to match the color and paint it for now...the paint spill is a big area~BUMMER ;)
The best thing I've ever used to remove paint (even dried paint) is a production called Goof-off. Information technology'southward in all the hardware stores. Information technology works swell - don't think information technology would hurt anything, but the color might have stained the grout. I would accept watered downwards pigment to the grout to bring it back to white.
Yep, tried it & information technology just lightened the color...Thank you though!!!B
Alcohol works to remove dry out latex paint and is not as toxic every bit goof off
I read rubbing alcohol is used to elevator pigment. an inexpensive remedy if it works. can't hurt to try. hope it works for yous.
Bridget--you may want to try it repeatedly with the Goof-off. I was painting a mirror I had bought and wanted to do it in our den because the light is all-time in there...ever and so advisedly placed newspapers on the floor in the den to protect the low-cal beige rug. No sooner started and I knocked over the paint can. Afterward I absorbed as much as poss. with newspaper towels, I began to apply the goof off on the rug. I had to patiently repeat the process at to the lowest degree viii times. It lightened it more every time I did it. Now it is basically gone, cheers to goof off. But as I said, just applying one time is not enough. It's a process.
Ok thank you Lorraine,I volition endeavour it a couple of more times...B
I'd just pigment to match... less work and I assume the grout is probably below the level of the brickwork? Simply take hold of a small strong craft brush and cutting the bristles flat to pounce the pigment (don't brush!) along with a couple of small bottles of acrylic craft pigment from a Michael'south store and mix until you get the right color match (try some gray, a little white and maybe a tiny drib of black and mix 'til it matches). Depending on the amount of splatter, yous'll probably merely demand to mix upward about a tablespoon of colour. I actually did this to my shingles after painting the underside of the gables and getting yellow spots all over them. That was 2yrs ago and it's still hiding those spots despite all our NW pelting.

Become 91% rubbing alcohol at the drug store. That volition work better than paint thinner to soften and remove acrylic paint. It even works to go sometime dried acrylic paint off clothes.try goo gone. you can buy this in Lowe's or Habitation Depot. Let the production sit down on the area and and so brush off. Practiced luck.

I would attempt LA's Crawly Cleaner (might be LA's Totally Awesome Cleaner), available at Dollar Tree for $1. Try spraying information technology undiluted onto the grout and letit sit for 1 minute or so. So using an old toothbrush, scrub away. I was able to use this cleaner to remove wer ink from my fair rug,Becca on December 16, 2022
*wet ink. Sorry about that. I've also used it to remove wet and dry paint from the aforementioned carpet, over again, information technology gets every speck! Sometimes I have to repeat the procedure, only it's always correct after I do it the starting time time--non two weeks after when some stains are known to "reappear."My contractor friend told me to use windex professional. As a messy painter I cease up with paint everywhere and accept plant this to exist a bang-up solution. Spray on the spilled paint area and let information technology sit for a few minutes so utilize the scrubber part of a kitchen sponge. Yous can besides leave a windex soaked cloth on tile or other hard surfaces to loosen the paint. Finish off with a damp fabric to wipe off residuum. Proficient luck!
I have used nail smooth remover in the by. It worked well
